White House: Stimulus created, saved up to 2.8M jobs

The federal stimulus package created or saved 2.2 million to 2.8 million jobs through the first quarter, and increased the gross domestic product by about 2.7 percent from what it would have been without the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, according to a quarterly report released Wednesday by the White House.
