Stanford receiver sues over donations

The court-appointed receiver for the estate of accused Ponzi scheme operator R. Allen Stanford has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court, seeking to regain $1.6 million that Stanford and other former Stanford Financial Group executives donated to politicians.
