Wackenhut, Miami-Dade settle legal battle

Miami-Dade County commissioners voted 8-3 on Thursday to approve a $7.5 million settlement agreement with Wackenhut Corp. to resolve a lengthy legal battle over allegations that the security company charged for services it did not provide.
